A running guide to Black Friday 2026 on Coursera, Udemy and DataCamp for AI courses: last year's confirmed sales, what to buy, and 2026 deals added once they are live.
Where the 2026 deals stand (updated November 3, 2026)
Black Friday is November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is November 30. As of November 3, none of the three biggest course platforms for AI skills, Coursera, Udemy and DataCamp, has announced its Black Friday 2026 price on its US site. We will add each 2026 deal to this page once it is live and we have checked the price and dates on the platform itself.
Until then, last year is the best guide to what kind of deal to expect, though not to the exact numbers. This is what we could confirm from archived copies of each platform's own pages:

We never list a discount we haven't seen on the platform's own site. If a number on this page is from 2025, we say so.

Coursera Black Friday sale: Coursera Plus is the deal to watch
Coursera's Black Friday deals center on Coursera Plus, its subscription to 10,000+ courses and certificates. In 2025 the offer was $160 off the annual plan, $239 for the first year instead of $399. It was live on Coursera's US pages by November 12 and ended on Cyber Monday, December 1, 2025. Coursera's FAQ called it 40% off annual pricing for new subscribers worldwide.
What to buy for AI: Plus makes sense if you will take more than one program. Good AI picks inside it include Google's AI Professional Certificate and IBM's AI Engineering Professional Certificate, a 13-course series paced at about 4 months. Our Coursera Plus discount page runs the math on when the subscription beats buying one certificate.
Udemy Black Friday: single courses or the Personal Plan
Udemy is the hardest of the three to pin down. Its sale banners and prices load inside the page, so archived copies don't keep them, and we could not confirm the dates or prices of Udemy's 2025 Black Friday sale from Udemy's own pages. Coupon and deal sites quoted different numbers, so we're not repeating them here.
What we have checked ourselves is recent: in a short sale from October 26 to 28, 2026, Udemy priced several top AI courses at $9.99, including courses on agentic AI, prompt engineering and LLM engineering (checked on udemy.com on October 26, 2026). Udemy also announced 25% off the annual Personal Plan for October 29 to November 1, 2026. Neither is a Black Friday price, but both show the two kinds of deal Udemy runs.
What to buy for AI: if you want one or two courses, a single course on sale is the cheapest route. Start with our weekly rankings for Claude Code, prompt engineering and agentic AI. If you expect to take many courses, the Udemy Personal Plan gives you a selection of Udemy's catalog for one subscription price. Check whether the courses you want carry the Personal Plan label before you subscribe.
DataCamp Black Friday: hands-on data and AI tracks
DataCamp ran the clearest sale of the three last year. Its promo page called it the "sale of the year" at 50% off unlimited learning by November 14, 2025, and raised it to 55% off by December 2. On November 17, 2025, DataCamp's pricing page showed Premium at a special price of $14 a month, billed annually. By December 5 the sale banner was gone.
What to buy for AI: DataCamp's strength is learning by writing code in the browser. Its AI Fundamentals and Associate AI Engineer tracks are the obvious AI picks, and its machine learning tracks cover the groundwork. See how DataCamp courses rank against Coursera and Udemy in our lists for machine learning and AI for beginners.
How to shop these sales without overpaying
A discount only helps if you use what you buy. A few checks before you pay:
- Count the months. A subscription bought on sale still costs more than one course you finish in a week.
- Read the terms. Coursera's 2025 deal was for new subscribers only, and annual plans renew at the full price unless you cancel.
- Check your local price. Sale prices and currencies differ by country, and the price at checkout is the one that counts.
- Try free first. Many good AI courses cost nothing; see our list of free AI courses.
